North Carolina Mutual Drug Selects

February 21st, 2012 Comments off

Boise, ID (PRWEB) February 21, 2012

Naturopathix, Inc. has announced that North Carolina Mutual Drug distributors, one of the largest providers of products to pharmacies in the South East, has selected patented (US Patent #7,311,928) ZymaDerm? for its painless, safe and effective treatment of molluscum contagiosum for distribution to leading regional pharmacies. Zymaderm? has also been chosen for sale by Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacies on the West Coast and distribution by Smith Drug in the Mid-Atlantic States. This follows Walgreens? selling ZymaDerm? in its stores and online. In addition to in-store sales, Zymaderm? is available online from leading Internet merchants that include drugstore.com and amazon.com.

The only full strength topical homeopathic for molluscum contagiosum, Zymaderm? is a patented blend of powerful all natural plant-based compounds. It is widely recognized for transforming the treatment of molluscum from costly and painful procedures to making the unsightly and contagious molluscum warts simply vanish quickly, painlessly and inexpensively

?Since ZymaDerm?s introduction in 2003,? says Briant Burke, MD, Naturopathix?s CEO and developer of Zymaderm?, ?tens of thousands of children and adults have easily gotten rid of visible molluscum warts lesions simply by dabbing on a pleasant aromatic blend twice a day, usually for less than a month.?

?In addition to over-the-counter sales in leading drugstores,? continued Dr. Burke, ?we are especially gratified that many leading dermatology clinics and pediatricians around the country are replacing invasive treatments with gentle, effective ZymaDerm? for their patients with molluscum. To encourage even more physicians to use Zymaderm?, Naturopathix, will continue to offer free samples to physicians and clinics upon request.?

About Molluscum Contagiosum

Molluscum Contagiosum is caused by the MCV virus and is very contagious. The virus is spread by direct skin-to-skin contact. The discrete warty lesions that develop can persist for many months, even up to 5 years. Most traditional treatments for the molluscum rash in the doctor?s office are painful, causing distress to the patient, especially if it is a child and parent alike.

ZymaDerm? represents a breakthrough in the treatment of this common childhood condition that affects almost 2.5 million children each year in the US. The condition is not dangerous but can become quite unsightly, with the lesions covering extensive areas of the body and also spreading to the face. This may cause embarrassment and self-consciousness in children at a time when acceptance from peers is paramount. It is also contagious and playmates can become infected.

About ZymaDerm?

ZymaDerm?, which is available without a prescription, is a patented painless, safe and effective treatment for Molluscum Contagiosum. Other Zymaderm? topical treatments are available for common warts, cold sores, herpes, and shingles. The ingredients in ZymaDerm? are officially included in the Homeopathic Pharmacopeia of the United States, which the FDA recognizes by law as authoritative. The potency and level of purity of the ingredients in ZymaDerm? meet the most stringent standards of excellence. ZymaDerm? is available in leading chain drugstores, such as Walgreen?s, independent pharmacies, and online merchants such as drugstore.com and amazon.com.

Plant Medicine Eliminates Shingles Most Efficiently

Article by bcured

Shingles, also known as herpes zoster, are caused by the varicella zoster virus (VZV), a DNA virus belonging to the herpes virus group. Primary infection with VZV causes chickenpox. Like other herpes viruses, VZV has the capacity to persist in the body as a latent infection after the primary infection has occurred. Shingles results from reactivation of latent infection. Following primary infection, VZV remains in human nerve tissues and is reactivated in approximately fifteen percent of infected persons, resulting in shingles.Shingles presents as a red, painful, itchy, and blistery rash, typically in one area on one side of the body, in the distribution of a nerve. There are usually no fever or other systemic symptoms. Pain and itching in the area of the shingles may persist after the lesions have resolved (post-herpetic neuralgia). VZV is transmitted from person to person by direct contact with shingles lesions. In general, shingles has no incubation period; it is caused by reactivation of latent infection from primary chickenpox disease.Shingles is found worldwide and has no seasonal variation. This disease increases with increasing age and is more common among immuno-compromised persons and among children with a history of intrauterine chickenpox or chickenpox occurring within the first year of life. The latter have an increased risk of developing shingles at an early age. The infectious period for shingles lasts until all lesions have crusted over. Approximately fifteen percent of the general population will experience shingles during their lifetime. There are no isolation or quarantine requirements for shingles. However, susceptible contacts of shingles cases with pertinent exposures should be excluded for the same time periods as susceptible contacts of chickenpox cases. Lesions in individuals with shingles carry the virus that causes chickenpox. Therefore, persons with shingles must be very careful about personal hygiene and must wash their hands if they touch their lesions. In otherwise healthy individuals, lesions that are covered appear to pose little risk to susceptible individuals.Unless the shingles rash can be completely covered, it is advisable that individuals with shingles stay at home until the rash is crusted over and dry. Children with shingles whose lesions cannot be covered should be excluded from school until their lesions have crusted. In a high-risk setting, if there is doubt about a cases ability to comply with keeping lesions covered, the case may be asked to stay home until he/she is no longer infectious. Additionally, those with shingles should avoid contact with those at higher risk for infection with VZV.This is not possible in some settings, and in these situations, exclusion of the case may be considered. Those who have disseminated shingles, or are immuno-compromised with either localized or disseminated shingle can transmit VZV via the airborne route and should stay home, or if in the hospital, should be placed on airborne isolation for the duration of the illness. Exposure to uncomplicated shingles is defined as contact with lesions. Exposure to disseminated shingles is defined as contact with lesions or sharing indoor airspace.Shingles following vaccination has been reported, although the risk of developing shingles from non-vaccine type virus is four to five times greater than the risk from vaccine virus. Shingles can occasionally become serious in immuno-compromised persons, with generalized skin eruptions and central nervous system, pulmonary, hepatic, and pancreatic involvement. Shingles can be treated with several antiviral agents; however, most of them have side effects. Natural plant medicine is a revolutionary medical treatment for shingles.Independent, published medical studies provide quantitative proof that the ingredients in plant medicine deactivates the herpes zoster virus which causes shingles on contact. Plant medicine is recommended by more non-profit medical establishments and doctors than any other treatment. Only use of certified organic ingredients guarantees your safety. Plant medicine for shingles is pure, all natural, and certified organic. It represents the safest, most efficient, and affordable means available to eliminate shingles. Marylands Best Roofing And Siding

February 19th, 2012 Comments off

Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) February 17, 2012

As the spring approaches, Maryland?s Best Roofing and Siding, Inc. encourages homeowners to get their houses ready for the rainy season starting with the roof.

Spring, just like fall, comes with rainy weather for the most part of the continental U.S. According to the National Climatic Data Center, in the period between March and May 2011 most states experienced higher than normal precipitation levels, while nine states saw their heaviest rains in 117 years.

Climate change and global warming make it difficult to predict the exact weather for the upcoming spring, but no matter what the forecasts say, being prepared is the least homeowners can do.

Experienced provider of roof installation and roof repair services in Baltimore area, Maryland?s Best Roofing and Siding, Inc. recommends starting the preparation by examining the inside of the house.

?If you notice discoloration, mold, water damage or peeling paint on your ceiling, walls or attic, it means the roof is already leaking and needs to be repaired in time before the first rains,? says Mike Criddle, the Vice President of Maryland?s Best Roofing and Siding, Inc.

He goes on to explain that although minor leaks could be handled without hiring a roofer, in many cases detecting a leaking spot is tricky and requires professional help. ?Our Baltimore roofers are versed in construction and have assisted many homeowners in getting rid of annoying leaks,? added Criddle.

If the inside has passed the inspection, the next step is to examine the roof itself. Criddle reminded all DIY experts to follow safety rules or invite an experienced contractor to take a look at the roof. Things to look out for include cracks, damaged, missing or loose shingles, tree branches and foreign object on the roof surface.

Houses in the areas of heavy snowfall require special attention. ?The last year?s massive East coast snow storms kept our Baltimore roofers busy,? commented Criddle. ?In many cases, the snow damage is not evident, and only a careful inspection could indicate if a repair or a complete replacement is needed.?

Checking on the gutters and snow guards is another way to get prepared for the spring. Gutters bent by snow and winds or clogged with leaves, branches or dead animals may cause many problems. ?When the rainfall is not directed away from the house, it leads to foundation cracks, leaky basements, destroyed landscaping, etc.,? said Criddle

Having the roof inspected and fixed before the leaks establish themselves is a proactive approach. Even if no problems are found, the homeowners still gain a piece of mind and a sense of security.

A Walking Tour of Saratoga Springs, New York

There is no better way to see America than on foot. And there is no better way to appreciate what you are looking at than with a walking tour. Whether you are preparing for a road trip or just out to look at your own town in a new way, a downloadable walking tour from walkthetown.com is ready to explore when you are. Each walking tour describes historical and architectural landmarks and provides pictures to help out when those pesky street addresses are missing. Every tour also includes a quick primer on identifying architectural styles seen on American streets.Saratoga Springs – there are 17 of the mineral springs in the town – first came to the attention of European settlers in the 1770s. From the beginning those who settled here cast an eye to catering to potential visitors to the waters than carving out farmland in the wilderness. The first permanent resident is considered to be Samuel Norton who was soon operating a crude log hotel near the High Rock Spring. As the area around this spring developed it would become known as the “Upper Village.”About a mile to the south the Congress Spring that would become the cornerstone of the village was discovered in 1792. Gideon Putnam, who had been in the area since 1789 making a living shipping wooden staves and shingles down the Hudson River, tapped the Congress Spring and constructed the Tavern and Boarding House in 1802. He then set about platting a street grid and grand hotels soon followed. By 1819 Saratoga Springs was cleaved from the Town of Saratoga and in 1826 it was incorporated as a village. The railroad accelerated growth and in 1864 John Hunter and William R. Travers introduced thoroughbred horse racing to Saratoga Springs with a four-day meet. Gambling mixed well with the carbonated natural spring water and Saratoga moved easily to the head of resort destinations for wealthy Americans in the Gilded Age from the 1880s to the 1910s.The glory days did not last.
